Solar Grid for Industrial Facility

BrightSpot Energy

Project Description

Design documents for all civil, MEP, environmental, geotechnical, electrical interconnection, wetlands impacts and stormwater management for solar installation for 2 MW solar field in Somerset County to power neighboring industrial facilities. RAUCH inc. was contracted to generate base sheets, gather public information and prepare conceptual site plan, Forest Conservation requirements and Conceptual Landscape Plan.  Overall, the firm was tasked with aiding in the determination of the feasibility of creating a Solar Interconnection and Solar energy farm for generating power for parasitic loads and metering onto the grid.  Our team evaluated the current environmental impacts for commercial use and provided costing estimates.  Design documents included solar panel arrangement drawings, Brownfield soil and wetlands determinations and existing building evaluations. RAUCH inc. led a team of structural and interconnect subcontractors to determine the feasibility of several sites. To date, all design documents and studies have been completed.  Constructability is being explored by the ownership team.
