Grant and Loan Funded Projects

Project Description

RAUCH inc. has aided the Town in securing funding for many projects through various agencies, including MDE, USDA, DNR, NFWF, MDOT/SHA, MD Historic Trust and others.  These valuable programs have upgraded important infrastructure and provided improvemets to playgrounds, parks, sidewalks, streets and buildings. Representative examples inlude:

• Marina Park Design and Construction funding to create educational and stormwater management areas in the park and upgrade playground equipmen, along with bulkhead repairs. ($350,000 total)
• Annual Boat and Debris Cleanup along the Marshyhope River through DNR. ($6,500)
• MD Dept. of Housing and Community Development Funding for revitalization of town buildings. ($100,000)
• SHA/MDOT funding for town sidewalk upgrades (TBD)
• Marshyhope Greenway Trail – Funding for maintenance of bridges. ($100,000)
• Historic Chambers Park Log Cabin restoration through MD Historic Trust – ($18,000), including a matching grant.
• Marina Park Fit Trails Stations – DNR funding for fitness equipment station additions along the trails. ($7,000)
